Broadband coverage and Take-up EU 27+2 (Phase III)

Aim of the project:

The main objective of the project is the collection of broadband data for the period 2009 - 2011 and coverage of the 27 Member States plus Iceland and Norway. The main contractor for the project is IDATE (www.idate.fr), while ICEG European Center is responsible for coordinating ten Central European and Baltic countries, namely Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
The study summarize the broadband coverage in the EU plus Iceland and Norway, with the following indicators and data (data refer to the situation as end of year 2008, 2009, 2010): Fixed broadband subscriber bases and penetration, DSL coverage and penetration, Cable modem coverage and penetration, FTTH subscribers, Satellite solutions, 3G coverage and take-up.

The main contractor for the project is IDATE (www.idate.fr ), while ICEG European Center is responsible for the ten Central European and Baltic countries.
